A Permanent Home for Awhi

We have a vision: to establish a permanent sensory space at the Esplanade, creating a dedicated, ongoing hub where families, schools, and the wider community can experience the Awhi programme. It will offer a warm, welcoming environment to explore sensory tools, build deeper understanding, and connect directly with support.

Sensory Garden Collaboration

We are excited to collaborate with Mash Trust, who are helping us design and nurture a surrounding sensory garden - bringing nature, calming outdoor elements, and community care together around our home.

This facility is built for the community, by the community, supported every step of the way by our Butterfly Compassion Community team. We are committed to accessible community pricing so every whānau can participate.
