Awhi on Wheels From City to Town, Local to Regional

Awhi on Wheels is our mobile, bus-based outreach programme designed to bring the transformative Awhi sensory experience directly to schools and our community. By taking our resources on the road, we make specialised sensory support fully accessible to students, rangatahi and the wider community who may otherwise be unable to visit a dedicated facility.

We are dedicated to supporting everyone across our hapori, including disabled, partially abled, and neurodivergent tamariki and rangatahi. Everyone deserves a safe, welcoming space to regulate, explore, and thrive.

What We Offer

School Visits & Outreach: Direct delivery of sensory spaces to local and regional schools.

Afterschool & Holiday Programmes: Tailored sensory sessions during out-of-school hours (Coming Soon).

Event Hire: Available for community events, local gatherings, and special occasions (Coming Soon).

Community Partnership: Zero Gravity & BCC Sensory Sessions (Sessions Available Now!) Butterfly Compassion Community is proud to partner with Zero Gravity Cheerleading to deliver accessible, tailored sensory sessions for tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau across Manawatū. Zero Gravity offers an adaptable, fully private facility featuring trampolines, soft play, climbing walls, and balance equipment - all designed to support movement, sensory exploration, coordination, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
