Bringing Sensory Support to Our Rural Communities

Calling out to our rural whānau - we hear you, we see you, and we value you.

Awhi Mini on Wheels is a mobile, caravan-based outreach programme designed to bring the full Awhi sensory experience directly to rural schools and communities across the Manawatū region. By taking our resources on the road, we help bridge the gap for communities where access to specialist sensory spaces and tools can be limited.

How It Works: School & ECE Loans

The Awhi caravan is available for schools and Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres to lend or hire for negotiated periods.

Our service includes:

Delivery & Setup: We tow the caravan directly to your school or ECE site and park it in a suitable, secure location.

Orientation & Guidance: Designated staff or adults are given a full walkthrough of the available equipment, setup requirements, and practical ways to utilize the space.

Sensory Toy Library: This setup also serves as the foundation for our upcoming Sensory Toy Library!

Events, Weekends & Holiday Programmes

The Awhi Mini on Wheels caravan is also available to hire for community events, weekend gatherings, and school holiday programmes, managed through a streamlined booking timetable. Setup instruction and support are provided just as they are for school hires.
